Cereal and Exercauser
Well, we have had so many changes this week! Jack's doctor said that he is ready for cereal so we started him on that. He is not so into it, but will definitely come around when we can add some fruit in there! Jack's Nana and Papa gave him two fabulous early Christmas presents: an exercauser and a highchair!! He loves both and says Thank You!
Jack has also started holding his bottle with both his little hands. Mom is not too crazy about him holding his bottle because he tends to knock it out of his mouth, which makes for a long feeding time, but Jack screams his little head off if you don't let him hold it. He is getting so big and it just seemed like it happened overnight!

First time eating cereal. The face he is making is VERY similar to the face his father makes when eating veggies.

Pumpkins!
Jack, Steve (my father in law), and I went to the pumpkin patch and took some great pics! Jack is in love with a golden retriever!

5 Months!
Jack is 5 months old today!!! I have no idea how much he weighs since all of our scales are still in storage, so unless I weigh him as produce at the grocery store, it will remain a mystery for another month.
Jack loves to talk to you. He is starting to pick up his toys and shove them into his mouth. He is constantly chewing on something - a toy or his hand or his bottle. He LOVES to chew on his bottle. Jack is starting to discover his feet. He will lift them up high above his head and stare at them intently. He will start to move his hands toward them but quickly gets distracted.

Virginia!
The Frings family made it to Virginia and we are settling in! Jack was pretty good during the drive, better than we expected. We are still waiting to hear if our offer was accepted on a short sale in Virginia - keep your fingers crossed for us. Until then, we are enjoying life in our corporate apartment in Fairfax. The weather has been beautiful - highs in the 70's. Jack has enjoyed being outdoors, and Mom has enjoyed breaking out all of his cold weather clothes and dressing Jack up - too fun!!
Jack getting ready to go out. He loves his blue overalls and shoes!
Before Jack's Pack N' Play arrived in Fairfax, we had to improvise with sleeping arrangements...we thought we did a pretty good job, until we checked on him... We found Jack like this! He can't crawl but he certainly 'creeps' all over the place!
Jack and I in the hotel in Florida, after a long day of packing. Jack was such a good sport while we were packing.

Jack at the hotel with Grandma. She was a huge help to us the week that we were packing up. Jack loves his time with her!
