Fall

We are enjoying fall out here in California.  A lot of our trees in the backyard have turned a beautiful shade of red.  We hung one of Jack's bird feeders (that he made at pre-school) on one of the trees.

Halloween

Halloween was a blast this year.  Jack totally got it, and ran from house to house.  Surprisingly, Connor was really into it too!  He tried to keep up with his brother and loved taking candy from our neighbors and putting it into his bucket!

And lastly a pic of the boys in their Halloween jammies.  The joke was on us though because while Connor went to bed at 8, Jack who was on a sugar high, stayed up till 10!!

Washington DC

I recently took a trip to DC for 5 days with my college roommates.  In  between sightseeing, great dinner and drinks around town, we went to the White House.  It was their Annual Fall Garden tour.  It was amazing to get this close to the White House!!

Our Brave Big Guy

One of Dave's networking groups held a BBQ and invited all the kids to come too.  We had a really nice time, and Jack was very brave on the playground equipment.  Part of the playground was set up on a tether, that the kids slid across by holding onto a bar.  The kids must have spent half an hour on this thing!

The kids went crazy throwing bread at the ducks though.  The poop didn't hold them back!  Although Jack did say at one point that "We should get the ducks a potty, so they don't make messes.  We can get them a duck potty at Target!" 

Crocker Art Museum

Labor Day weekend (Monday) we went to Crocker Art Museum.

Train Museum in Old Sac

Labor Day Weekend (Sunday) we went to the Train Museum in Old Sacramento.  There is an old bridge on the Sacramento River and we stopped to let the boys have a look.

Jack was NOT crazy about the horses.  He thought they smelled, and I had to agree that they DID!
