We are blessed to announce the arrival of our son, Jack David Frings. He was born at 33 weeks on May 21, 2008 at 11:56 AM. Jack weighed in at 4 lbs 6 ounces, and is 18 inches long. Dave and I were able to see him for about 5 minutes after he was born before he was taken to the NICU. He is expected to stay about 15 days more and then he will hopefully come home! Jack is breathing completely on his own, and is in an open crib, but he has to work on being able to eat on his own through a bottle. Dave and I are missing him even though the NICU allows us to visit whenever we want. Unfortunately, we can only hold him for only 30 minutes out of every 3 hours so he can keep his strength up. Please keep Baby Jack in your thoughts and prayers!

Glad to hear that Jack and family are all doing fine! What a surprise to hear that he arrived so soon after your baby shower at Leslie's Mom's house! I guess Jack wanted to be a FLORIDIAN instead of a VIRGINIAN, and now you don't have to worry about changing OB/GYNs!
